BAUM is inspired by the forest. The brand was established in 2020 with the philosophy of coexistence with trees. Our skincare is created with ingredients sourced from trees—roots, branches, bark, fruit. Fragrances derived from elements in nature calm and soothe. Each use of BAUM formulas evokes the experience of forest bathing and brings benefits for skin and mind.
We’re dedicated to supporting the health and sustainable life cycle of the forest. As part of our sustainability efforts, we grow oak saplings in our stores during spring and summer. From fall to winter, we grow Japanese cypress. Each year, we transfer the seedlings to one of two BAUM forests we cultivate in Japan, replacing those trees used for ingredients or parts of product packaging.
With sustainability and respect for nature at the forefront of all we do, BAUM advocates for product refills, uses bioPET plastics or recycled glass in all containers, and sells original ecobags to encourage minimal waste.
