Skin Beauty INNOVATION area: “Skin immunity research”

As a result of Shiseido’s more than 30 years of “skin immunity research,” we discovered that skin with more immune cells has fewer senescent cells, and that immunity “prevents skin from aging.”

Sustainability INNOVATION area: “Initiatives for formula and ingredients that accelerate circular manufacturing”

We announced our initiatives for the future to strengthen cooperation within and outside the industry and to develop and utilize circular materials. With Mr. Tomohiro Fujita, CEO of CHITOSE Group leading the “MATSURI Project,” with which we started a strategic alliance in July of this year, as a guest, we also presented the creation of new sustainable and premium beauty solutions from a long-term perspective, looking ahead 1,000 years into the future.

Future Beauty INNOVATION area: “Unique beauty algorithm based on the relationship between skin, body and mind”

In order to realize Shiseido’s VISION for 2030, “Personal Beauty Wellness Company,” we presented the latest findings on “Shiseido’s unique beauty algorithm based on the relationship between skin, body and mind,” which is the key to executing the vision.

Three measurement experiences based on “Shiseido’s unique beauty algorithm”

We provided time to experience nasal skeletal measurement, gait measurement, and composite measurement of skin, body, and mind(autonomic nervous system, blood vessels, and grip strength) based on Shiseido’s unique beauty algorithm. After the measurements, the participants were given advice on skin care based on the results and enjoyed an original drink full of nutrients that lead to beautiful skin.

Shiseido won two top awards at the 33rd International Federation of Societies of Cosmetic Chemists (IFSCC) Congress 2023 in Barcelona. A total of 27 top awards were won, making Shiseido the most awarded company among all cosmetic manufacturers in the world.
