In the past, we promoted the “hub-and-spoke model,” in which our centers in Japan led basic research and shared the outcomes with our centers around the world. However, from 2019, we are promoting a “multi-hub network,” allowing our 8 centers around the world to pursue research by taking advantage of and maximizing their regional strengths to meet local consumer needs, and develop outcomes globally.
