In modern society, there is an increase in people who pursue Unique beauty based on diverse values and new approaches, which are not limited to traditional cosmetic care.
Shiseido has used the areas of strength in research, such as those of skin science, senses and psychology, as well as findings from measurement and analysis technology cultivated by holistic research on the inside and outside of the body as our recent focus of engagement. We have combined these areas with the data sciences to further our research in the scientific elucidation of the relationship between skin, body and mind.
The advancement of science and technology has made it possible for us to observe and analyze the internal and mental states of the body, and their relationship to the skin is progressively becoming clearer. Under these circumstances, Shiseido and Hirosaki University have started collaborative work, aiming to make prompt, flexible responses to the changes in social environment and consumer needs with broader perspectives and technologies.
