Shiseido Soap Stories
14 February (Thu) to 6 May (Mon), 2002
(Presented in the Materials Display Space in the Shiseido Art House)
In the early 1900s, high-end soaps on the market included products like “Hanatsubaki Soap,” “Olive Soap” (Japan's first superfatted soap), and “Honey Cake” (which became synonymous with translucent bar soaps). This exhibition went to the factories that made fourteen of these Shiseido soaps to tell the stories of how they were created.
