The 4th ‘Craft for All of Us Ⅱ’ Exhibition
— Shiseido Proposals for More Beautiful Lives —
July 27(Thu) — October 29(Sun), 2023
Shiseido Art House has presented its Crafts for All of Us series of group exhibitions since 2015, dividing them into 1st (2015 – 2017) and 2nd (2019 – ) Phases, with a list of participating artists that has evolved with each subsequent presentation. In this final exhibition of the 2nd Phase, our fourth Crafts for All of Us II Exhibition in the series, we were pleased to present new works by IMAIZUMI Imaemon XIV (ceramics), NAKAJŌ Iori (lacquerware), YOSHIHA Yohey III (metalwork), and ADACHI Masao (glass art).
Additionally, each of our participating artists created their own unique vessels for the enjoyment of tea, which were displayed in a special Tea Room produced by FUKUMOTO Shihoko, who has enjoyed international acclaim for her aizome-style indigo-dyed woven fabrics. A special highlight of this final exhibition included works created by several groups of paired artists who worked closely together to create unique items for banquets and tea ceremonies, as the bonds between these artists were nurtured over the course of the exhibition.
