Selection for Inclusion in the Dow Jones Best-in-Class World Index and Dow Jones Best-in-Class Asia Pacific Index for the Fifth Consecutive Year

Shiseido Company, Limited (the “Company”) is pleased to announce that it has been included in both the Dow Jones Best-in-Class World Index, a leading global sustainability index, and the Dow Jones Best-in-Class Asia Pacific Index, covering companies in the Asia Pacific region, for the fifth consecutive year.
Dow Jones Best-in-Class Indices (formerly known as the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices), provided by S＆P Dow Jones Indices, are designed to analyze and evaluate corporate performance across three dimensions; Environmental, Social, and Governance with the objective of identifying global sustainability leaders. These indices are widely regarded as one of the most influential benchmarks for investment decisions focused on corporate social responsibility.
In this year's evaluation, the Company received industry-leading recognition achieving high scores in key areas including Environmental Policy ＆ Management Systems, Energy and Water within the Environmental dimension; Human Rights and Occupational Health ＆ Safety within the Social dimension; Transparency ＆ Reporting and Business Ethics within the Governance dimension.
