Perfect Cover provides specialized products for Life Quality Makeup as part of Shiseido’s social contribution initiatives. First taking action in 1956 with the release of Spots Cover Foundation, a formula designed to help alleviate the psychological pain of those who suffered wartime burns, the brand has continued to research and develop cosmetics and application methods for specific, severe skin concerns for more than half a century. In 1995, Perfect Cover was released to help conceal serious skin concerns such as bruises, vitiligo, burns, and scars.
In 2006, Shiseido opened a dedicated facility, the Shiseido Life Quality Beauty Center, which provides makeup advice free of charge. Activities to support people with cancer were commenced in 2008, which involved provision of makeup for changes in appearance due to the side effects of treatment. These activities have been launched not only in Japan but also across Asia. Shiseido also participated in LAVENDER RING, an initiative for supporting people with cancer, which was launched in 2017.
Shiseido will continue to support those with severe skin concerns in leading the lives they want.
