Shiseido’s Growth Strategy
Amid an uncertain economic environment, Shiseido’s prestige brands Laura Mercier and Clé de Peau Beauté continued solid performances. In addition, ELIXIR, ANESSA, and Dolce&Gabbana recorded significant growth. Although we faced challenging conditions in South Korea, performance in Southeast Asia held firm owing to the expansion of free-standing stores. We also achieved robust growth in cosmetics and personal care as a result of localized marketing that caters to the characteristics of each country and region.
We will work to strengthen our prestige brands as well as made-in-Japan cosmetics and personal care brands. In terms of prestige brands, we will further expand sales channels such as free-standing stores and e-commerce.
